The Gospel of John
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And so begins one of the greatest treasures of literature that the world has ever seen; the Gospel of John. For many, John’s Gospel is the greatest tool for illuminating the life of Jesus. It holds depths of wisdom and eternal promises, for all believers, from the 1st to the 21st century. The Gospel of John is a book which is accessible for all, regardless of their stage of learning or journey of faith.
In this course we are going to spend six weeks exploring the entire book of the Gospel of John. We will discuss the context of John; who John was, when he wrote his Gospel, and the world that he was writing into. We will also spend time exploring the text itself; going chapter by chapter, verse by verse, exploring what the Gospel of John meant at the time of the apostles, and also what it means for us today.
Why not start the year by taking a ‘deep dive’ into one of the books of the Bible, and join us as we explore the Gospel of John together? We can’t wait to see you there.
